A city-by-city glance
Our servers and storage
Across our shared hosting servers and VPS nodes, we prefer Dell enterprise hardware. Dell have served us and our client-base well in years past, leaving us with a strong working relationship.
Our fleet is 100% SSD-powered – we utilise Intel DC SSDs, and have all drives operating in RAID arrays. Some nodes utilise directly-connected drives, while others utilise SSD-backed SANs.
Backups of our shared hosting servers and VPS nodes are stored within Australia, mostly within Equinix’s enterprise-grade facilities. On request, backups can be stored on your own platforms (SFTP, etc) or on cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, etc).
Our Australian network operates atop AS132680, a proven and fully redundant Brocade powered network. All hardware is owned and operated by Ink Systems Pty Ltd.
Our take on security and payments
The online world’s an inherently dangerous place – that’s why we’ve taken every precaution possible to ensure that our network is as secure and robust as possible.
With DDoS protection provided by F5 Networks, rigorous internal and external network monitoring running 24/7 alongside a range of security tools, we’ve got your online presence covered. Our shared hosting platform runs KernelCare, CloudLinux, CageFS, ClamAV, ConfigServer eXploit Scanner (CXS), ConfigServer Firewall (CSF) as well as ModSecurity as standard. Our VPS nodes run KernelCare and a hardened version of KVM.
Our hardware is situated in leading data centres worldwide, with the majority of our equipment housed in Equinix and NEXTDC facilities. With around-the-clock security staff, biometric security, man traps and rigorous security policies in place, you can rest easy knowing that your data’s in safe hands. Hardware is located in locked racks within secure private suites to ensure maximum security.
Credit card payments are securely processed through our merchant provider Stripe. They operate a token-based platform meaning we never store your credit card details within our network. You also have the option to securely pay via Apple Pay, Bitcoin (via CoinGate) or PayPal. All of our payment providers are PCI DSS compliant. Bank transfer is accepted, however processing times sadly can’t be guaranteed. Cheques are only accepted for enterprise and Government clients – it’s 2018 and our receptionists are fed up of them.
