cPanel SSL certificates (cross-signed by Comodo) are included with our shared hosting packages. They can’t be installed by us on to external hosting or servers, however we’re happy to install Let’s Encrypt certificates if you’ve a managed server with us. Please contact us for more information.

From within the hub, you’re able to:

  • Order SSL certificates
  • Configure certificates (submit CSR & other required info)
  • Download certificates (including the CA bundle) for your specific server
  • Revoke certificates
  • Reissue certificates (another CSR is required)
  • Renew certificates
  • Resend certificate emails (approval emails, etc)
  • Paid certificates: are issued by Comodo
  • Let’s Encrypt certificates: are issued by Let’s Encrypt
  • cPanel certificates (included free with hosting accounts): are issued by cPanel Inc & are cross-signed by Comodo

All of our offered certificates are compatible with the major browsers (Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome, Microsoft Internet Explorer & Apple Safari). There won’t be any compatibility issues across 99.9% of browsers.

You have the option to opt for a 4096-bit key length as opposed to the more standard 2048-bit. While this will boost security and is recommended, we recommend ensuring that your certificate functions as expected once installed.

SSL certificates can be installed on to services using a shared IP address through functionality known as SNI (Server Name Indication). These days, the majority of browsers and devices support SNI, removing the old-fashioned requirement of a static IP address.

If you’re going to need a static IP address for your new SSL certificate, we’re able to provide one provided you host the secured domain name with us. If you host the domain elsewhere, your provider should be happy to assist.

The cost of a static IP address is $50/year inc GST. On request, we can set the IP’s rDNS/PTR record for you too.
